Sophia is a dynamic singer, songwriter, producer and performance artist hailing from Portland Oregon. As creative director for Opera On Tap San Francisco and pioneer of “Aerial Opera”, Sophia’s innovative productions combining aerial acrobatics and opera landed her on the cover of the San Francisco Chronicle Datebook in 2023. A talented aerialist and dancer, Sophia’s performances have been featured at music festivals, dance clubs, and concert halls alike. Her next production will set an up-and-coming composer’s work in the stars: at the Chabot Space and Science Center Planetarium (March 2025).

After graduating Summa Cum Laude on a full academic scholarship from the Portland State Honors College studying music, theater, and classics, Sophia accepted a scholarship to earn her Master of Music degree at San Francisco Conservatory. There she expanded on her growing opera and concert résumé, performing solos and lead roles specializing in the French lyric heroines. Upon graduation, Sophia began learning music production and songwriting; as she moved past a traditional opera career she started booking gigs for her original tunes at indie venues all over the Bay. Her live electronic sets call on DJ and synth skills as well as a unique vocal delivery that combines many stylistic influences. Sophia’s last three releases have garnered a steadily increasing viewership and an array of positive reviews. She is currently in production for her latest EP.

Sophia made her international debut singing lead vocals on the main stage at Envision Festival in Costa Costa Rica and Tribal Gathering in Panama, and continues to collaborate with electro-acoustic bands as a songwriter and featured singer. A lifelong rock aficionado, Sophia performs and releases regularly as frontwoman of the alt-rock band Everything But The Everything.
